Audience measurement, only with your consent
If you accept in the consent banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and pages viewed, and Microsoft Clarity to see how pages are used (clicks and scrolling, with text typed in fields masked). If you refuse, or until you choose, neither tool runs.
These tools are loaded through Cloudflare Zaraz. IP addresses are trimmed before they are passed on, advertising storage stays refused, and no advertising profile is built from them. You can change your choice at any time with the "Privacy choices" link at the bottom of every page.
What the site uses without asking
To rotate the sponsored placements, the site keeps the name of the last one shown in your browser's session storage, which is erased when you close the tab. Views and clicks on sponsored placements are counted anonymously on our own server, with a random identifier per page view and no cookie.
What you send us
"Add your watch", "Report an error" and "Share a photo" store what you type or upload so we can check it. Nothing is published automatically: every submission is reviewed, and a fact only appears once a maker page or two independent sources confirm it.
Your email address is optional. It is never shown and is only used if we need to ask you a question about your submission. Your IP address is never stored: a one-way salted fingerprint of it is kept only to limit abuse (at most a few submissions per hour).
A photo you share is stored privately until we review it. If we publish it, it appears with the credit name you gave, under the licence you granted in the form.
Photos and sources on the site
Watch and portrait photos come from Wikimedia Commons under free licences, each credited with its author and licence. They are served from this site, so your browser does not contact Wikimedia.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete what you sent us, or withdraw a photo, by writing to [email protected]. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
