weight of the 556 I head without strap
For Sinn's 55th anniversary the 556 I gained a refined dress: sunburst dials, applied indices and steel sword hands. A mocha dial joined the regular collection, while an anthracite version was limited to 1,000 pieces and swapped the word AUTOMATIK for 1961-2016.
In September 2025 Fratello reported a new round of pastel 556 models with guilloche dials, presented alongside an EZM 3 S and a 104 Classic 12.
2020. In April 2020 Revolution reported the 556 A RS and 556 I RS, part of a release that also introduced the U50 diver and the dressier 1739 line.
2017. Sinn's black mother-of-pearl 556 I was meant as a more masculine take on the material, and Worn & Wound reported it was priced on request because of the custom dial.
2016. The 556 I Anthracite anniversary edition replaced the dial's AUTOMATIK with the dates 1961-2016, one of 1,000 pieces made for Sinn's 55th year.
WatchTime Germany compares its 200-piece 556 I WT to a Negroni, the dial fading from red-orange to deep black; purchase was limited to one watch per order and person.
Sinn expanded the 556 with Sand, Ice Blue, Mauve and Sage dials, each limited to 300 pieces, in the 38.5mm case.
Offered on a canvas-Alcantara strap, a fine-link bracelet or a bracelet with micro-adjustment clasp.
At Baselworld 2016 Sinn added a mocha dial 556 I and a 1,000-piece anthracite anniversary edition marked 1961-2016.
Offered on bracelet or shell cordovan strap; the drilled lugs ease strap changes.
Sinn added the 556 A with numerals at 3, 6, 9 and 12 and renamed the original the 556 I.
Reviewers list a 38.5mm case with 20mm drilled lugs on the 556 I.
The 556 entered production with a black dial, bar markers and a date at 3:00; one source dates first sales to December 2007.
