The story of the Tudor Pelagos
French Navy combat divers wore Tudor Submariners for decades; in 2021 their elite divers helped design a Pelagos of their own, with strap bars machined from the titanium case.
- 1954 to 1990s The navy's working diver The French Navy used Tudor Oyster Prince Submariners from the 1950s, refs 7922 and 7924, then the 7016 of 1974, the first engraved MN 74 with snowflake hands.

The navy's working diver
The French Navy used Tudor Oyster Prince Submariners from the 1950s, refs 7922 and 7924, then the 7016 of 1974, the first engraved MN 74 with snowflake hands. The later blue 94010 was often worn on a green strap cut from parachute belts.

Titanium for the deep
The Pelagos launched in 2012 as Tudor's answer to the Rolex Sea-Dweller, with a titanium case, ceramic bezel, a helium escape valve and 500 m of water resistance. Its bracelet clasp extends to fit over a wetsuit.

Tudor's partnership with Alinghi Red Bull Racing produced the FXD and FXD Chronograph editions of 2023, the brand's first carbon composite cases. Their strap bars are milled in the same material as the AC75 racing yachts.

The three-time world freediving champion first met Tudor in 2014, when he dived for a Pelagos advertising film. He later wore a Pelagos while swimming with orcas and humpback whales off Norway for his documentary series The Quest for Nature.
Moments
2023. The FXD Chronograph was built for regatta racing, with Tudor expecting it at the 37th America's Cup off Barcelona.
2021. In May 2021 Tudor announced a renewed partnership with the French Navy, which led to the FXD and its M.N.21 caseback engraving.
2014. Tudor filmed a Pelagos advertisement with a freediver, Morgan Bourc'his, who has stayed close to the brand ever since.

Introduced at Watches and Wonders 2025 with 1,000 m water resistance in titanium.
Case grows to 43 mm; delivered with a three-link titanium bracelet and a rubber strap.

Released 14 September 2023 with a black dial, inspired by a late-1960s Submariner supplied to the US military.
Keeps the fixed bars and comes with a fabric strap plus a black rubber strap.

Developed with the French Navy, a 42mm titanium diver with a countdown bezel and MT5602 movement.
Uses fixed lug bars integral to the case middle instead of spring bars, and ships on a one-piece fabric strap.
