The Furlan Marri story
- 2019 Andrea Furlan began work on the project in November 2019.
- 2021 Founded in Geneva, Switzerland by Andrea Furlan and Hamad Al Marri.
- 2021 The first watch launched on Kickstarter and was fully funded within seconds, going on to pass its CHF75,000 goal many times over.
- 2021 Won the Horological Revelation Prize at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève in its founding year.
- 2022 Furlan Marri moved from mechaquartz to mechanical watchmaking with the Black Sector Ref. 2116-A, a 37.5 mm cow-horn-lug three-hander driven by a La Joux-Perret G100 automatic with 68 hours of reserve, sold in a pre-order window from 24 June to 4 July 2022 at CHF 1,250.
- 2023 In December 2023 the brand released its first Swiss-made mechanical chronographs, three flyback references (3177-A Taupe, 3188-A Salmon, 3199-A Honey Blue) shaped with collector Auro Montanari, who proposed the olive-shaped pushers, and Revolution, whose founder Wei Koh asked for Tasti Tondi pushers on the salmon dial.
- 2024 About two and a half years after its 2021 GPHG prize, Furlan Marri's production had passed 20,000 watches, according to Europa Star in April 2024; by November 2024 Andrea Furlan told WatchPro the brand sold in more than 100 countries.
- 2024 In July 2024 Furlan Marri revived the lugless 'Disco Volante' (flying saucer) case style of the late 1930s as a permanent collection: 38 mm, 8.9 mm thick, with a hand-finished Peseux 7001 hand-wound movement, teased beforehand on billboards in Geneva and Times Square.
